Back in 2019, we had three people and one simple belief: software protection shouldn't slow down development. Too many companies were choosing between security and speed, so we set out to build something different.

What started as a consulting project for a local gaming company turned into something bigger. We found patterns in how applications get compromised and built our first protection tool. That tool evolved, but our approach stayed the same—practical security that works with your development process, not against it.

Before starting bright-rationale, I spent eight years breaking into applications for security audits. That experience shaped how we think about protection—you have to understand how things fail before you can make them stronger. I still spend time researching new attack methods because the landscape changes fast. When I'm not diving into security research, I enjoy hiking Taiwan's mountain trails and experimenting with traditional brewing techniques.
